I wish I could tell you that the computer was taken in to get fixed and now it was back better than ever. But, the computer never made it to the store. Instead it ended up in the hospital with my hubby and me to let us watch movies. My hubby went in on Wednesday morning to have an ultrasound on a unidentified mass they had found. Right after the ultrasound they sent him straight to another doctor who told him to get his things because he was going to be having it removed the next day. Apparently if it was cancer, it was the kind that spread quickly. So we rushed to the hospital and friends drove in,  and family flew in. Surgery went well. Now we are just awaiting results. To tell you the truth I am now in a stage of frustration. I hate to see my hubby in pain, or sad, or worried, or frustrated because those are things that I can't really fix. I wish none of this was happening, but I am going to trust God through it all. I know He has a plan. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
I am going to cling to that! When I get frustrated, or sad, or worried I will grab onto that. God has given us a great church family, great friends, and supportive family. Here we go.

I am sorry to say I have to say goodbye for a while. Hubby will be taking computer in for some very needed repairs! I have no idea how long it will take so stay safe and be blessed!
Until next time!

Still sick

So I've been feeling sick these last couple days and I was in a really bad mood today because of it, but I played this song and I felt much better. If you've ever stayed at my house you have heard it, but Jay and I start dancing around everytime I put it on! So after dancing for a bit, and seeing all the nice messages my friends left me on facebook, I am feeling much better. No more bad mood! Plus, my friend Ms. Angie bought the Little One her first pair of real shoes, they are the cutest Keds ever! Yay! I'm looking forward to the day!!

They are still a bit long, but aren't they cute!!

Another JJ Heller song from her new cd

Just niceness

My family and I are officially sick! Hubby started it and now we are all coughing and sniffling, but still having great days. This weekend was very peaceful and fun. We did a couple new things and we got a lot done.

We went to brunch at IHOP before Hubby took me to some antique stores I had been wanting to go to.

Jay and I shared a glass of water. She thought that was fun (so did I). Then we went to Off My Rocker, a nice antique store I read about in the paper. I loved it the moment I walked in. I felt like I was surrounded my treasures.

Luckily we didn't bring the stroller because it would not have fit through the small halls.

Jay liked these snow globes.

I loved this blue dresser! Doesn't it have so much character!?

We did a couple more things and then it was back home and the end of the day. Here is Laila supervising bath time!

The weekend ended with an awesome church service where Pastor talked about Joshua, and a little playtime with Laila.

Thank You God for this weekend and bless this week that is starting!

Added to my favorites: JJ Heller

Ok, so I couldn't wait until tomorrow to post this because I found a new favorite singer! I have heard some of her songs before, but didn't know who she was!! It is JJ Heller and she has just come out with a new cd, "When I'm with you". I will be buying this cd as soon as I have some extra cash!!!!

Just how I feel about my 2 girls! Makes me smile!

My blogging is getting slower and slower because I am getting slower and slower. It's been three months since I got some real sleep and I think it is starting to catch up to me. I am doing well, just really craving a three day nap! I have even been missing the gym, zumba classes, and life group meetings. sigh. Hopefully everything will get easier soon. But life keeps on going, and good and funny things keep happening.

Lany has been doing some decorating in the house. Unique, huh?

We went to a baby shower this week. It was sweet and to the point.
Jay had a great time running around.

The Little One is getting bigger and bigger and although she is much more smiley and cute, it seems that she is sleeping LESS (if that is possible). Gotta love her!

And right when I was taking Laila's picture...she sneezed!
So I caught her mid sneeze. I thought it was so funny!

Oh, and there is one more thing I am super excited about...I will be designing my laundry room soon and I have a bunch of great ideas. It's going to be a totally ME room and I can't wait to get started! Will post pictures as soon as I start! Maybe laundry will be funner after that...You never know. :)

Why would I?

It's that time of the year when everybody starts asking, "what are you going to be for Halloween?" and I have to answer that we don't celebrate halloween. Then they look at me like I'm kinda weird. But the more I think about it, the more I am surprised at this reaction. I wonder why they celebrate halloween? I have a logical and significant reason for celebrating everything I do celebrate. For instance, I celebrate Thanksgiving because I'm very thankful for all I have, I celebrate Christmas to celebrate the birth of Jesus; I celebrate Easter to celebrate His resurrection, I celebrate Valentines Day to celebrate love; I celebrate Mothers, Fathers, and Birthdays for obvious reasons; and the 4th of July to celebrate our independance. But why would I celebrate halloween? From what I've read in different places, halloween seems to have started with a Celtic tribe that believed that the spirits of the dead could come back this one day and visit the living. People would leave treats outside for them in case they were hungry, and if people went out that day, they wore masks and such so that the harmful "ghosts" would not recognize them. Hmmmmmmm...What is there to celebrate then?

Laila and Us

So, about an hour after Laila was here, hubby was off to the store. He came back with an armful of goodies for a girl dog; a pink bed, a pink collar with a heart tag that has her name on it, a pink bowl and dog food. You know it's super funny while Ms. D was here (person who brought us
Laila) she noticed that now Omar was really going to be surrounded by females. It reminded me of the moment we knew Little One was going to be a girl. Hubby said, "I'm going to have to get a male dog."
We looked at each other and started laughing. He ended up with a girl dog too. She has been doing very well with us. Now I'm not the type of person to have dogs on beds, but last night when Laila got up and layed down on the foot of Jays bed and Jay looked at me with those big brown eyes and asked me if Laila can pleeeeeease stay with her. I couldn't say no. Laila stayed with her all night, until this morning at 7:30 when I heard Jay telling Laila to come on down as they both went downstairs. Sigh. Still have to figure out the sleeping situation. Other than that all she does is follow us everywhere! She is so cute. Who knew we would have a dog so soon...Not me!

What a Weekend!

We went to the Tanger Outlets this weekend! It was super fun! I fell in love with these outlets. The architecture is magical!

The chandeliers were big and beautiful.

There were fountains all over the place.

There were also columns and arches!

We had a blast.

We found the boots we wanted for Jay! She looks so cute in them.

Then today we unexpectedly added another member to the family.

Welcome Laila! Our new English Cocker Spaniel! She was a neglected dog looking for a home. A friend recommended us to the person giving her away. She came to our house.

Who could say no to this face?

Jay loves her already.

She loves the yard!

Operation Bike Ride: Days 2-3

So Operation Bike Ride has continued. On Wednesday I brought the bike to the backyard because Jay was so distracted with the sounds of passing trucks and cars that she wasn't listening to anything I was saying. So I took her to the back.

Day 2
But, as you probably know, it's harder to bike on grass (especially for somebody who barely moves and inch on smooth surfaces). So I decided the kitchen would be a great place to practice.

She looked the part, even though she was inside she kept her sunglasses on because they were her "motorcycle glasses". :)

She started moving more and more. But she would move a foot a then get off her bike because it had to be "checked".

Then she would drink some water (moving a foot at a time is quite a workout)

We had a better time than we had on day 1 mostly because I wasn't so worried about other things like Little One in her stroller outside while I try to help Jay learn.

This was her while we were practicing.

She even used her "binoculars" to see something! lol

Then on Thursday we had a breakthrough. Check out my smilebox and see. It was awesome! Oh and my jaw is more or less back in place now. Feeling much better!

The Many Faces of My Jay

My jaw is currently out of place so I am looking and feeling horrible. I can't eat right (really can't do anything facial right). Even drinking is uncomfortable. Mrs. Ledbetter (one of my best friends) wants me to go to Dr. I'm way too chicken for that. Hoping I'll be better soon.

Today I took Jay out to ride her bike. She just can't get it and I run out of patience trying to teach her. I am determined though to keep trying! This was only Day 1 of Operation Bike Ride!
Will now be taking her out everyday until it happens and she is actually moving the bike more than an inch on her own. Will keep blog updated.

Later in day she decided to dress up as a ballerina (her style). While she was playing outside, I went out to take some pictures of her and she just started making a bunch of faces. I was cracking up (as much as I could with my jaw out of place).

First she was sweet...

Then silly (like really mom?!)I couldn't stop laughing for that one...

And then of course, the smile!
After this she said she was done taking pictures and just went to swing. I love this kid!

Except for facial pain, good day!

Yes! My house is clean. Thanks to hubby it is back to it's normal self. He worked on rug, kitchen (including doing all the cooking), and dusting, while I worked on laundry and upstairs. We are not done, but it is back to it's normal clean. It makes us both so much more relax when our house is clean!

On other news, there are a couple things that have happened recently that I have forgotten to mention although they are SUPER important.

1. Jay is almost 100% potty trained! I thought it would never happen, but it has! I took my friend Mrs. G's advice and started giving her m&m's whenever she went to the potty. Apparently chocolate is the key to her heart. I am very excited.

2. I finished watching a Korean drama I started (Boys over Flowers). It was awesome but I won't be doing that anytime soon. It took way too much of my time. :)

3. In-laws will be coming soon and I am looking forward to it.

That's all the updates I remember right now.

Week and Weekend

So, I haven't been able to blog in a while, which means I have a LOT to write about. I will tell everything that has been going on mostly using pictures. Here goes...

Wednesday night we went to the park to let Jay play for a little while.

Picture while on the swings. lol

She was so excited to swing with us.

We were there until it was too dark to be there.

On Thursday we didn't do anything because hubby got out of work late, but it was nice to relax for a while.
But then on Friday we went out for a drive. My brother in law (Tio Jay) and his fam were coming that afternoon so we were trying to get the drive in before they got here. While on the drive we noticed that the Witt Museum had some of the bugs from their new bug exhibit outside, so we stopped to see them.

The bugs are made of recycled metals.

Just taking a drive

Praying Mantis and Butterfly

Cool Black Widow Spider named Charlotte

There was also a mosquito named Mo but I couldn't get a good picture of it.

Then the family came. We woke up Saturday and both girls were in bed super early (couldn't resist taking pictures).

What better way to wake up?

Skyle and Lance met Little One for the first time. I think they had a good time with her. Skye helped me with anything I needed help with, and Lance was good and making her smile.

Then, Hubby and Tio Jay decided to make some sofrito so that he can have some to take home.
They were mashing the garlic ...

and trying to not get it in their eyes.

They got it in their eyes anyway. :)

Then, that night, the girls and I went to have outdoor reading time. Jay brought a bunch of books out...

SHe was reading

Skye was reading...

and I was reading. (I might be a little animated when I read)
Sunday morning everybody got all prettied up and we went to church. It was a great message about Jonathan but I had to miss a lot of it because Little one was awake.

Tio Jay with Little One

Tio Jay, Shirley, and Little One

Little One looked so cute in her Sunday dress (thanks to Nana and Abu). Jay looked super cute in her Sunday clothes too, but got in trouble on the way home, so she went to bed as soon as she got home and I changed her clothes before I could take a picture. Sigh. Oh well.

Nice and cozy too!

After coming home, Skye and I made yummy cupcakes
while everybody else watched a football game.

This is not a posed picture. While they were watching the game I heard everybody saying , "this would be a great picture!" I came as fast as I could and this is what I found. She wasn't even bothered by me taking a picture. I took about four pictures, she looked at me, then went back to her pose. Dad matched her pose. It was so cute and funny.

Well that was my week and weekend. I feel very happy that we had family here and can't wait for this week and whatever may come this way. May everyone have a blessed and beautiful week! Now it's time to clean the house.
